Agility Training OLD

November 1, 2022 we will be relocating to a 7694 SF Indoor Air-Conditioned Agility Facility (same location, different suite)

We ALL want to have fun!

We all want to have fun with our dogs. It should be a priority for everybody! But, we need to be aware that dog agility can have risk if it’s done “just-for-fun” instead of wanting to have fun with the dog we love.

Unless agility is broken down and trained correctly the risk is to your dog and also to the relationship your dog has with you.

Agility for Fun or Competition Begins Here!

AGILITY BASIC FOUNDATIONS
In this class we’ll start teaching our dogs to think and try new things. Then we’ll apply those new skills to work with cones, targets, the table, and a tunnel, building fundamental skills for our future agility stars!

Prerequisite: Dogs 4 months or older. Basic obedience skills recommended.
The session of four classes costs $125.

AGILITY ADVANCED FOUNDATIONS
Here we will be building on our shaping skills by adding new challenges for you and your dog, including drive forward and start line behaviors. We’ll also start developing some good ringside manners in our dogs and start working them off leash.

Prerequisite: Dogs 5 mon or older, and successful completion of Agility Basic Foundations or equivalent.
The session of four classes costs $125.

AGILITY OBSTACLES: JUMPS
Jumping skills are no different than contact skills and weave pole entry skills — we must set aside time for our dogs to practice the skills separately from course and sequence work.

Grids are a means of isolating the various aspects of jumping mechanics and allow time for your dog to practice jumping skills in a quiet, encouraging environment. Your dog can focus on his jumping skills so he can develop understanding and confidence and ultimately SPEED. It also aids in the development and maintenance of the muscles and core strength necessary for successful jumping.

Prerequisite: Dogs 6 mon or older, and successful completion of Agility Advanced Foundations or equivalent.
The session of four classes costs $125.
