Control Unleashed is designed to help “dogs with issues” learn how to relax, focus, and work off leash reliably in either stimulating or stressful situations.
Prerequisite: This class is in a group setting; participating dogs should be able to work around other dogs.

CONTROL UNLEASHED REACTIVE TO RELAXED
New concepts and techniques to support you in teaching your dog life skills and coping skills so that he is comfortable in world, building relationships, empowering your dog, and creating a two-way system of communication between you and your dog.
Our goal is not merely to change behavior: it is to change how the dog is feeling. When your dog is feeling functional, he will behave functionally.
Prerequisite: This class is in a group setting; participating dogs should be able to work around other dogs.

FAST & FOCUSED: CONTROL UNLEASHED FOR AGILITY
When it comes to agility, the most successful agility dogs are the ones who can retain the best thinking brains. Whether it’s in the ring or outside of the ring, the agility environment can be a lot. That can cause a bunch of feelings! And those feelings can lead to all kinds of behaviors that aren’t helpful for your agility performance. Train your dog to be able to think in the face of what once distracted them and have the clarity you need to move successfully forward on your agility journey.

Who needs Control Unleashed?
- Dogs that are uncomfortable or unable to work off lead around other dogs
- Dogs that are easily distracted and have difficulty concentrating
- Dogs that are reactive or easily aroused
- Dogs that are anxious or stressed and shut down
- Dogs that are unable to control their impulses when excited
Control Unleashed is not appropriate for dogs who:
- Are under 6 months of age
- Display moderate to severe aggression toward people or other dogs
- Have a history of biting people or dogs
Our Control Unleashed classes utilize exercises and training principles developed by Leslie McDevitt in her acclaimed Control Unleashed series.

EDGE ESSENTIALS: FROM CHAOS TO CALM
Does your dog struggle to settle, regulate their excitement, or find their off switch?
This class focuses on teaching the skills dogs need to shift from high arousal to calm behavior. You’ll learn how to create a more cohesive partnership with your sport dog and build clear communication, so your dog knows when it’s time to engage—and when it’s time to relax.
The goal is simple: help you replace frustration with clarity, structure, and confidence so both you and your dog can enjoy your dog sport life together.

EDGE ESSENTIALS: OVERCOMING FOMO
Does your dog struggle when they feel left out? Those “big feelings” can show up as frustration, barking, spinning, vocalizing, or difficulty settling when another dog is training or playing. It may surface when you’re working a different dog, standing ringside, or anytime your dog can’t immediately access what they want.
This class will focus on teaching clear, constructive alternatives to frustration behaviors. Through thoughtful, reward-based training plans, dogs learn what to do instead of reacting—building emotional regulation, patience, and lasting behavior change.
Prerequisite: The dogs will work on stations and in crates. This class is in a group setting; participating dogs should be able to work around other dogs.

This class teaches dogs how to perform agility skills confidently and consistently without visible rewards. Handlers will learn how to transition reinforcement out of the ring so dogs understand that rewards still happen, just not immediately. By closing this common training gap, teams gain focus, confidence, and reliability when it matters most—on course and at trials.
Prerequisite: This class is in a group setting; participating dogs should be able to work around other dogs. Dogs will be crated.

This workshop is designed to make turn-taking clear, easy, and rewarding for both you and your dog.
For dogs who love to work and play, it can be challenging to watch another dog take their turn. Instead of suppressing that drive, we embrace it.
In this workshop, you’ll learn how to channel your dog’s enthusiasm into focus and self-control—teaching them that offering control is what earns them the opportunity to work.
