DISC DOG THROWS
Did you know there are 50+ Disc Dog throws?
If you want to level up your Freestyle game, the fastest way to improve is by expanding your throwing toolbox. The more variety you have, the more creative, dynamic, and engaging your routines become — for both you and your dog.
In this class, you’ll learn a curated selection of essential and eye-catching throws that add dimension, strategy, and style to your Freestyle routines. We’ll focus on mechanics, consistency, body positioning, and how different releases affect your dog’s line, speed, and catch success. You’ll also learn how to safely prepare to incorporate new throws into sequences and combos, so they enhance — not complicate — your training.
Whether you’re new to Freestyle or looking to sharpen your competitive edge, this class will help you throw with more confidence, creativity, and intention. More tools. More options. More fun.

INTRO TO FREESTYLE DISC DOG
This course is for handlers who can throw a basic toss and dogs who can catch a disc — even if you’re both still learning.
You’ll learn the essential building blocks for success: clearer communication with your dog, fundamental throwing techniques and simple combos, improving your dog’s catches, clean disc switches on cue, and core tricks.
We’ll work toward understanding Freestyle as a sport, feel more confident in your training, and be able to put together a simple, safe routine with your dog.

Please use dog-safe discs (disc may not have a hole in the middle). Amanda recommends the Hero Air 235 as an affordable, beginner-friendly disc, and Chuckit! frisbees for puppies.
