Lost Item Recovery Training | Practical Scent Work for Dogs
This course teaches your dog to locate missing items using human scent. Beginners start by finding your personal items, while higher levels challenge your dog to match a stranger’s scent to their lost article—similar to search-and-rescue techniques.
Through step-by-step training, your dog will:
Recognize and search for familiar scents on everyday items
Learn match-to-sample skills to track specific scents
Build confidence, problem-solving, and teamwork
Prepare for NASDA scent exercises and tracking work
Lost Item Recovery is both practical and fun, giving your dog a rewarding “job” while exploring the exciting world of scent work!
