Focus, Impulse Control & Engagement Classes

Single Sessions:

EDGE ESSENTIALS: DOTS IN AGILITY
This class is designed for dogs who experience big feelings around agility—whether that shows up as over-arousal, stress, distraction, or difficulty staying engaged in the ring. Using Control Unleashed® concepts and Dots, we’ll build clarity, confidence, and emotional regulation while keeping agility fun and forward moving.

Teams will work on:
Managing arousal and layering skills within agility sequences
Environmental acclimation so dogs can work confidently in different setups
Developing strong focus forward without handler micromanaging
Thoughtful approaches to contacts and start lines under emotional load
Creating structure and clear strategies for when things go sideways in training

This class helps dogs learn how to think and work through agility, not just what to do—supporting smoother runs, better communication, and a calmer, more connected teammate.

Pre-registration required.
Prerequisite: Dogs 4 months or older. Some obedience training recommended.

EDGE ESSENTIALS: BARK MANAGEMENT
The techniques in this class are designed specifically to address alert barking — including barking at sudden noises or people appearing unexpectedly.

These same skills are highly effective for common situations such as doorbell barking and fenceline barking as well.

Prerequisite: Dogs 4 months or older. Some obedience training recommended.

EDGE ESSENTIALS: MANAGING AROUSAL
Is your dog easily overstimulated, jumpy, or reactive? This short, fun class helps teach dogs how to stay calm, focused, and confident using pattern games. You’ll walk away with skills to help your pup manage excitement and stay balanced—even in the most stimulating environments. Perfect for dogs who need a little extra help regulating their energy!

EDGE ESSENTIALS: OVERCOMING DISTRACTIONS
Is your dog choosing distractions over you, no matter how hard you try? This class teaches you how to build focus, engagement, and reliable responses in real-world environments.

Instead of avoiding distractions, repeating cues, or trying to out-entertain your dog, you’ll learn clear, step-by-step strategies to help your dog notice distractions, think, and choose you.

We’ll focus on:
Teaching dogs to process and disengage from competing stimuli
Building trust and connection instead of relying on force or frustration
Using consistent cues and a structured plan for lasting results
Developing self-control and attention so your dog can succeed even in exciting environments

Perfect for dogs who struggle with focus or are easily overwhelmed by sights and sounds, this class gives you the tools to turn everyday chaos into calm, confident teamwork.

EDGE ESSENTIALS: OVERCOMING FOMO
Does your dog struggle when they feel left out? Those “big feelings” can show up as frustration, barking, spinning, vocalizing, or difficulty settling when another dog is training or playing. It may surface when you’re working a different dog, standing ringside, or anytime your dog can’t immediately access what they want.

This class will focus on teaching clear, constructive alternatives to frustration behaviors. Through thoughtful, reward-based training plans, dogs learn what to do instead of reacting—building emotional regulation, patience, and lasting behavior change.

Pre-registration required.
Prerequisite: Dogs 4 months or older. Some obedience training recommended.

1 hour group class $55 or save by choosing one of our multi-session passes.

EDGE ESSENTIALS: RUN FIRST, REWARD LATER
This class teaches dogs how to perform agility skills confidently and consistently without visible rewards. Handlers will learn how to transition reinforcement out of the ring so dogs understand that rewards still happen, just not immediately. By closing this common training gap, teams gain focus, confidence, and reliability when it matters most—on course and at trials.

Pre-registration required.
Prerequisite: Dogs 4 months or older. Some obedience training recommended.

1 hour group class $55 or save by choosing one of our multi-session passes.

FAST & FOCUSED: CONTROL UNLEASHED FOR AGILITY
When it comes to agility, the most successful agility dogs are the ones who can retain the best thinking brains. Whether it’s in the ring or outside of the ring, the agility environment can be a lot. That can cause a bunch of feelings! And those feelings can lead to all kinds of behaviors that aren’t helpful for your agility performance. Train your dog to be able to think in the face of what once distracted them and have the clarity you need to move successfully forward on your agility journey.
