NADAC VT AGILITY EVENTS
Ace’n Agility does not have any NADAC officials on site. We simply provide an approved facility, approved equipment, and opportunities for teams to run and video-record the monthly NADAC courses for submission.
We will set up courses from the below categories.
Regular, Chances, Jumpers, Weavers, Tunnelers and Grounders.
You may videotape your run and submit to NADAC to earn VT titles.
NADAC rules apply.
Must register (no drop ins) $20 cash/venmo/zelle per run (at the door)
NADAC charges $10 fee per video for review.
Dogs must be crated in between runs.
Rule regarding VT runs and their proximity and timing in relation to local trials.
From the NADAC rulebook:
“VT runs cannot be performed within five (5) full days before or after a trial located within 150 miles (240 km). The exception is that any classes not offered at the local trial may be run as VT.”
VT runs are intended to supplement your opportunities to earn qualifying scores. They should never conflict with, or take place in competition with, a nearby trial. Exhibitors are expected to use sound judgment and good sportsmanship in following the distance rule so that all clubs and competitors are supported fairly.
The video trial you are entering is using slatted contact equipment. For many years slats have NOT been used in NADAC trials. The reasons for this are, with the lowered height of the NADAC A-frame and the advent of rubber coated equipment, NADAC found that slats became unnecessary in the sport, because the dogs had more than enough grip with the rubber coatings. NADAC was the first organization to use rubber contact equipment, and we feel that the removal of slats was the correct, logical next move. The reason for this allowance is to encourage new clubs to try NADAC, without needing to purchase a specific set of equipment for NADAC. The current generation of slats, we feel, are no longer a safety concern, like many of the previous generations, so, while we believe they are not needed for dogs competing in NADAC, we also feel that it won’t hurt to have them either. It should be noted that, any and all national NADAC events (i.e. Championships) that you attend will be using non-slatted contact equipment, only.
