Canine First Aid & Arizona Emergency Preparedness

CANINE FIRST AID & ARIZONA EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS
Designed to help dog owners recognize and respond to common medical emergencies until veterinary care can be obtained. Participants will learn how to perform a basic health assessment, identify signs of illness or injury, provide first aid for wounds and bleeding, and respond appropriately to emergencies such as heat stroke, choking, and trauma.

Special attention will be given to Arizona-specific hazards, including rattlesnake bites, paw pad burns, cactus injuries, and other environmental risks. This practical, discussion-based class is ideal for pet owners, hikers, and dog sport enthusiasts who want to be better prepared when emergencies arise.

Give your canine athlete the day off and join Daisy Callahan for an educational session focused on keeping sport dogs healthy, safe, and performing at their best. Dogs should stay home for this event.
